Raymond Gardner CPA
Raymond (Ray) Gardner is a financial planner with a strong focus on tax planning. As a CPA, Ray brings a deep understanding of taxation and an analytical, detail-oriented approach to helping individuals and families make informed financial decisions. His perspective is shaped by a unique combination of professional and personal experiences, including a strong background in tax planning, more than two decades in law enforcement, and navigating a divorce earlier in his career. These experiences have given Ray a practical understanding of how financial decisions intersect with both the numbers and the realities of life.
Ray holds a Certificate in Financial Planning from Bryant University and an MBA from Rider University. He has successfully completed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, as well as the Series 7 and Series 66 registrations. His accounting background as a CPA provides a strong analytical foundation, while his experience in financial planning allows him to help clients connect their financial decisions to their broader goals and the life they want to build.
Ray's law enforcement career strengthened his ability to assess risk, analyze complex situations, make thoughtful decisions under pressure, and lead with integrity. His own experience with divorce and the loss of loved ones far too soon, also reinforced the importance of having a financial plan that can adapt when life doesn't go according to plan. These experiences have given him a deep sense of empathy and perspective and reinforced his belief that with resilience, thoughtful planning, the right support, people can move forward with strength and clarity. Ray brings that perspective to every client relationship, recognizing that financial planning is ultimately about people, their families, and the lives they want to lead.
Ray and his wife have created the family they always dreamed of, raising five children, and now experiencing the joy of two grandchildren. Outside of work, Ray and his wife enjoy running, taking on home renovations, experimenting with new recipes, and supporting local live music. A passionate sports fan, Ray looks forward to college football season every fall, cheering on Clemson, Penn State, and James Madison University. He also serves as a high school football and soccer official to stay active and engaged in his community.
